Hi all, I recently did a bit of "crowd sourcing" to get a small bit of design work done. I made use of 99designs.com (you can see my contest if you wish). Anyone else used any similar sites to get…

How do you know that the design has been 100% created by the designer and did not incorporate any copyrighted material? Also: I'd appreciate your feedback, because I dont "get" how 99designs business model works... it seems flawed to me? i.e. only…

Profile Information

Profession / job title:
Developer & Director of Crossbone Systems Ltd
What best describes you:
Front-end developer, Back-end developer
Your website:
http://www.crossbonesystems.com
What year did you first start or help create a website?
1996, when I was still a teenager I made a pretty geeky site all about star trek and computer games that had a healthy cult following
What are the best web-based projects you've worked on?
I worked on stuff for a company called Granta Design, my favourite project there was full of pretty pictures: ASM Micrograph Center.

Since then I think I'm most proud of a couple of extranet-based projects I did for Transact Group. I made a web-based studio management application for The Great Big British Quiz that was a lot of fun; it had a high-availability requirement. It also required ease-of-use in the extreme due to the at-a-glance nature of a TV studio gallery!
Tell us about your current web pursuit(s)
I'm building cool stuff for Crossbone Systems while bootstrapping with contract work. At the moment, fonicmonkey.net is my technical dev blog, and crossbone systems (dot com) has my experiences bootstrapping a company in the UK and my SEO, SEM and digital brainstorming products.

As well as this social network, I'm working on various facebook applications and building designs for my groundbreaking webapp that will make me rich beyond my wildest dreams, RICH I tell you! Maybe.
Anything else you feel the network should know?
Yep, Guitar Hero 3 rocks.
